Zielnik - stary ale jary

POZIOM: 7-10

 

"Za moich czasów..." zielniki robiło się w szkole na lekcjach biologii. Dzisiaj to już prehistoria ;) ale moim zdaniem warto ją nieco odkurzyć. Tworzenie zielnika to aktywność czasochłonna, a przez to idealna na zajęcie wczesnoszkolniaków od wiosny do jesieni. To nie tylo pretekst do wspólnych spacerów, podczas których będziecie zbierać liście, kwiaty czy trawy, ale również okazja do  poznania przez dziecko nazw roślin oraz rozpoznawania ich kształtów czy zapachu. Zielnik można przechowywać przez lata - będzie to świetna pomoc naukowa i pamiątka zarazem.

 

Do zrobienia zielnika potrzebujemy:

• segregator formatu A4
• twardy biały papier formatu A4
• kilkanaście koszulek do segregatora formatu A4
• klej
• nożyczki
• czarny długopis lub cienkopis
• kolorowe mazaki
• wysuszone liście, kwiaty, trawy itd.

 

Segregator będzie najpraktyczniejszą formą przechowywania roślin - możemy w każdym momencie dodać w dowolnym miejscu nową zdobycz :) Wszystkie "eksponaty" trzeba najpierw dobrze zasuszyć  - tu przyda się gruba książka - trzeba tylko pamiętać żeby zabezpieczyć roślinkę papierem wkładając ją do książki (może zabrudzić kartki). Po ususzeniu wklejamy roślinę na kartkę A4 i opisujemy.

 

Podpis rośliny można wydrukować, ale lepszy będzie podpis odręczny - nie nasz, tylko dziecka. Teraz kiedy jego charakter pisma dopiero się kształtuje, będzie to dobra okazja do poćwiczenia. Poza tym, po latach widok koślawych literek na pewno wywoła uśmiech :)

 

Można również posegregować rośliny na kategorie np. drzewa, kwiaty itd.  i narysować obok nazwy każdej rośliny jej umowny symbol.

 

 

Na pierwszej stronie powinna znaleźć się nazwa ZIELNIK oraz imię i nazwisko autora. Na następnej stronie można umieścić legendę czyli nazwy naszych kategorii i ich symbole.

 

Na koniec trzeba się zastanowić w jakim porządku będą ułożone rośliny - najlepiej alfabetycznym z zachowaniem podziału na drzewa, kwiaty itd. Na końcu zielnika warto umieścić tzw. indeks roślin.

Herbarium - oldie but goodie

"In my time…" herbariums were made at school during biology lessons. Today it's prehistory ;) but I think it's worth a little re-dusting. Making a herbarium is a time-consuming activity, and as such it’s ideal for engaging preschoolers from spring to autumn. It's not only an excuse for common walks, during which you will collect leaves, flowers and grass, but also a great opportunity for your child to learn the names of plants and also to identify the plants’ shapes and smell. A herbarium can be kept for years – it can be a great teaching aid and a souvenir at the same time.

To make a herbarium you will need:

•an A4 ring binder

•a hard white A4 paper

• several jackets for an A4 ring binder

•glue

•scissors

•black pen or fineliner

•colored markers

•dried leaves, flowers, grass, etc.

The ring binder will be the most practical form of plants’ storing - we can add a new trophy at any time and in any place :) All the "exhibits" must be dried first - a thick book will be useful here - just remember to secure the plant using a sheet of paper when putting it in the book (it may stain the pages). After drying, paste the plant on a piece of A4 paper and describe.

Plants’ signatures can be printed, but handwritten signatures - not yours, but your child - will be better. Now that child’s handwriting is only emerging, it will be a good opportunity to practise it. What’s more, after years the crooked letters will make you smile for sure :)

You can also classify plants into categories such as trees, flowers, etc. and draw the symbol of each category next to the name of the plant.

The first page should include the title HERBARIUM and the name and the surname of the author. On the next page, you can put the legend i.e. the name of your categories and their symbols.

Finally, you need to decide in what order you will arrange the plants - preferably an alphabetical one divided into categories such as trees, flowers, etc. At the end of the herbarium you should put the so-called plants’ index.
